Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake

A friend of mine celebrates her birthday in the month of December. Her birthday cake request was for a cheesecake. Instead of baking a cheesecake, I thought it would be a great idea to get a variety of different slices of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.

Holiday Baskets 2009

After much debate, I finally decided what would make up my Holiday Baskets this year.

Soft Ginger Snap Cookies

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies
Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
Snickerdoodle Blondies

18 dozen cookies later the finished product came out wonderful! Each year I look forward to making these Holiday baskets, giving a little bit of home away from home.

May all of my blog readers have a Happy Holidays and a very prosperous New Year!

Stay tuned... Christmas Baking is coming soon!

A Wonderful Gift

How cute is this cake server? A friend of mine who lives in Tokyo got this wonderful gift for me. I think it is the cutest thing! The funny thing is I didn't have one. I am now a proud owner of a very stylish cake server.

Lemon Cupcakes With Rasberry Jam Filling

Today we had a party for my friend's dog. My friend requested Lemon Cupcakes for us humans to eat. I looked up a cupcake recipe on Cassie's How To Eat A Cupcake blog and found these.
I topped mine with Scooby graham cracker cookies in the shape of bones. I am not a big fan of lemon flavored cakes but these were really good and refreshing. The cake in the picture below was made by the dog cafe we had the party at. Cafe Millet here in beautiful Okinawa, Japan.

Perfect Party Cake

My friend's birthday is this month, the birthday girl requested a cake with fruit. I searched the blogs I follow on a regular basis and found the recipe on this great blog http://therepressedpastrychef.com/2008/07/22/dories-perfect-party-cake-revisited/ The cake was so delicious! It had a light lemon flavor, plus my combination of rasberry and apricot jam filling made it perfect. I would recommend this cake to everyone! I will definitely be making it again.

Dooney & Bourke Cake

The customer's wife was getting a Dooney & Bourke purse for her birthday. What better way to highlight her special day than to have matching goodies to go with the gift.

Kahlua Cupcakes With Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Since I made my dogs a birthday cake for their birthday, us humans need something to celebrate as well. I found these Kahlua Cupcakes on this blog and they looked so yummy.
I made them exactly as stated on the blog and the cupcakes were a bit small. Next time I will make a batch and a half and fill the cupcake liners up more to make bigger cupcakes. The frosting is so yummy. I topped mine with chocolate covered espresso beans.
